Positive Ageing

Ageing is universal, but the experience is individual.

Stable Wellbeing offers strictly confidential mental health and wellbeing support

With over ten years of direct experience working in residential aged care as a carer, I have supported older adults with their activities of daily living through chronic illness, dementia, grief, loss, and end-of-life journeys with authenticity, empathy, compassion, light heartedness, laughter and meaningful connection. These moments are tender, sacred and deeply human. I have witnessed how much emotional support is needed and how often it is missing. This work has given me a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals during one of the most isolating, at times frightening, confusing and vulnerable stages of life. Having worked as a personal care worker, I have witnessed firsthand the critical gap in emotional and psychosocial support in aged care settings. Unfortunately, very few aged care facilities have inhouse counsellors and social workers who are part of their allied health team. This has inspired my commitment to advocate for dignity, independence, and holistic positive wellbeing for older adults and their families ensuring they are not forgotten, but supported with compassion, understanding, care and respect.
